Na quinta-feira dia 27/11 teremos o último seminário do ano, que será apresentado pela Dra. Nathalie Leonhardt, pesquisadora principal do Institut de Biosciences et Biotechnologies Aix-Marseille (França).

Título: Understanding Stomatal Regulation to Improve Plant Drought Tolerance

Resumo: Stomatal regulation is essential for controlling plant water loss and adapting to drought. Plasma membrane H⁺-ATPases are key drivers of stomatal opening, yet the mechanisms that fine-tune their activity under stress conditions are still not fully understood. In this presentation, I will summarize current knowledge on how H⁺-ATPases contribute to stomatal function during water deficit. I will also describe a genetic screen performed to identify new regulators of stomatal behavior, which led to the discovery of candidate genes involved in controlling transpiration and improving drought tolerance.
