SUMMARY:Seminário: "Understanding Stomatal Regulation to Improve Plant Drought Tolerance"\, pela Dra.
\nTítulo: Understanding Stomatal Regulation to Improve Plant Drought Tolerance \nResumo: Stomatal regulation is essential for controlling plant water loss and adapting to drought. Plasma membrane H⁺-ATPases are key drivers of stomatal opening\, yet the mechanisms that fine-tune their activity under stress conditions are still not fully understood. In this presentation\, I will summarize current knowledge on how H⁺-ATPases contribute to stomatal function during water deficit. I will also describe a genetic screen performed to identify new regulators of stomatal behavior\, which led to the discovery of candidate genes involved in controlling transpiration and improving drought tolerance.
